Harvey family material donated

The Library is very grateful to have received a donation of photographs of Guernsey and Sark with a connection to the Harvey family, of both portrait groups and local views, dating from the 1860s onwards; some have a Canadian link. The material was given to us by Mrs Dorothy Snowden, of Exeter. This is a valuable addition to our Harvey collection and is much appreciated, and complements other magnificent donations of material from this family we have received in the past few years, from John Collins in particular, who is a descendant. These and other photographs and the extensive documentary material from this interesting family can be viewed on request at the Library.
