The Priaulx Library map collection was the subject of a major exhibition in 2004, and more can be discovered about the history of mapmaking the Channel Islands in our book, Guernsey on the Map.  Above is shown a detail from a 1662 hand-coloured edition of a map of Guernsey by Gerardus Mercator, from the collection.
