A lift for the Library

The Library has improved its access for the disabled with a new lift and wheelchair ramp.

A lift has now been installed in the Library, together with improved facilities for the disabled.  Although the majority of the Library's public areas are at ground-floor level, the newspaper room is one of the most used in the building and is situated on the first floor, while the Council Room is on the second, so improving access will benefit many of those who make use of our Library. This was a major project; fundraising was successfully co-ordinated by the Friends of the Priaulx Library.

There will be an official opening later in the summer; the first floor lift room is still undergoing refurbishment.

If you would like to find out how you can help with this and other fundraising, please visit the Friends' website.
