Inventory of the Papers, Title Deeds and Documents relative to the succession of the late Dame Marie Vodin and of her husband, Aaron Guillaume. [In Staff (bottom shelf) Box No. 1]. 

No. 1. Firstly, a letter under Bailiwick Seal dated 18 February 1697. Contents: Sieurs Jean Perchard and Aaron Guillaume in right of their wives  sell to Sieur Edouard Mauger, son of Pierre, a certain house with a garden behind, in Fountain Street ...

No. 2. Item. Ditto dated 14 August 16444: contents: Sieur Pierre Gosselin, son of PIerre, sells to JEan GIrard son of Jean, and to Jeann his wife daughter o fBlaize Le Cocq, a cerati nsmall house with a yard and a small garden joining near to the Town Presbytyery ...

No. 3. Item. Ditto dated 9 October 1705: contents: Marie Gagnepain, widow of Sieur Jean Bird and guardian of her daughter Marie Bird, sells to Moisë Vaudin son of Jean of the Island of Sark a certain four furze-breaks called Les Clos Vodins ... of which five livres tournois are due to the heirs of Dame Marie Vaudin.

Another letter under Bailiwick seal dated 20 March 1694: contents: Sieur John Bowden fo England sells to Sieur Daniel Guerin of the town of Clérac in Angenois in Guyenne [Charente], a certain house and a part of the yard behind, in Fountain Street  ... rent due to Sieurs Jean Perchard and Aaron Guillaume in right of their wives, heirs of Anthoine Roland [Anthony Roland] son of Jean ...

Ditto  dated 5th September 1713: contents: Dame Marie Vaudin daughter of Matthieu, sells to Sieur Jean Perchard and to Dame Suzanne Vaudin his wife, daughter of the said vendor [Marie Vaudin], a part of a house in Cornet Street (rue des Cornets) th eother part of which house belongs to the said Perchard in right of his said wife ...

No. 7. Item. Ditto dated 5 March 1730: contents: the said Guerin sells to Monsieur Henry Mauger son of Pierre, the said house that he had bought from the said Bowden, except for the School and the Granary to the East of the said house ... Sieur Mauger made over the said house to Sieur Willliam Guerin son of the said vendor 24 April 1731.

No. 8. Item. Dated 10 June 1732: contents: Zachary Moulin son of Pierre sells to Guillaume Lihou son of Nicolas, a certain house, barn etc in the Castel ... of whihc some of the rent is payable to the heirs of Dame MV ...

No. 9. Item. Another letter under Bailiwick Seal dated 8 August 1695: contents: Mr Pierre Jannon, Rector of the Town Church, assigns to Sieur Matthieu Vaudin to receive rents from various persons, the said rents due to the Rector because he was seized of certain land that Nicolas Guille had bought from Michel de Jersey son of Pierre.

No. 10. Item. Ditto dated 7 October 1620: contents: Nicolas Thomes son of Thomas of St Martin sells to Jean Pitart son of Jean of the said parish, a certain strip (pièce) of land of 48 perches, ... [the rent for] which was sold by the said Thomes to Thomas Reserson son of Edmond according to a contract of 3 March 1634. 

No. 11. Item. Ditto dated 10 January 1633: contents: Jean Effart son of Edmond and Marie his wife daughter of James Pezet, agreeing that they owed rent to Thomas Reserson son of Edmond from the sale [made by] the said couple; the assigned the said Reserson to receive the rent from David Nevetel son of David of St Andrew ... [David Naftel]

No. 12. Item. Ditto dated 1 October 1684: contents: Sieur David Naftel son of David sells to Sieur Nicolas Bonamy son of Nicolas of St Andrew, a certain house, barn, cowshed etc ... rent patable to SIeur Matthwieu Vaudin in right of his wife the daughter of Sieur Jean Roland ...

No. 13. Item. Ditto dated 20 November 1630: contens: Thomas Griffon son of Michel of the Vale, Vingtaine de l'Epine, sells a rent to Thomas Reserson son of Edmond ... [all 'Recerson']

No. 14. Item. ANother letter under the Seal of the Court of St Michel, dated 31 March 1692: contents: the aforementioned Griffon, sells to Lucas Le Feyvre son of Michel, a certain three pièces of land called Les Petites Crouttes ...

No. 15. Item. Ditto: contents: the said Reserson makes over to Pierre Griffon son of Thomas the whole of the retraite etc. that Philippin Le Goubey had made to the said Reserson. .. Letter of 14 May 1611.

No. 16. ANother letter under the Seal of the Royal Court: contents: Laurence Ollivier son of Thomas of St Martin, seized of the legacy of Thomas de France, sells, to the said Reserson, in right of his wife the daughter of Clement Perchard, and to his heirs, rent to be received from Nicolas Guillemotte son of Nicolas. Letter of 16 November 1620.

No. 17. Item. Ditto dated 7 March 1614. Guilaume Bachelay [Bachelet] son of Thomas, sells to the said Reserson and his this said wife (to the survivor) ...  a rent.

No. 18. Item. Ditto dated 16 November 1620. The said Laurence Ollivier in the said name sells to the said Reserson a rent.

No. 19. Item. Ditto dated 12 February 1619. The said Ollivier widow of Thomas Thoumes sells to Pierre Brehaut of St Pierre du Bois, the house and land from the said saisie ...

No. 20. Item. Another letter under Baiiliaiwcxk Seal. The said Ollivier in teh said name sells to Michelle Jenemie, widow of Mr Pierre Brehaut a certain courtil situatied inteh  parish of St Saviour. ...Letter of 16 September 1620.

No. 21. Item. Ditto dated 3 October 1624. Samuel Le Poidevin son of Jeames sells to JEan LAnglois son of Nicola a rent to be received from Jean Des Perques ... and a rent to the said Reserson (20 November 1630).

No. 22. Item. Ditto dated 16 July 1597. The afoiresaid Brehaut in right of the aforesaoid Michelle Jenemie, his wife, selld to Etienne Guillemotte son of Nicolas a part of a house situated in the High Street of the Town ...

No. 23. Item. Ditto dated 26 April 1611. Jean Pitard son of Jean, guardian of Tite Pitard and Anne Pitard, the children of Richard Pitard, makes over to Thomas Reserson son of Edmond the whole of any purchase that the said Richard may have made from Colas Le Petevin [Collas Le Poidevin, Nicolas Le Poidevin] son of Philippin, of a certain house with a garden behind in Fountain Street ...

No. 23a. Item. An Judgment on parchment, not signed, wrapped up in the said letter of & May 1611, whihc orders that the above sale be ratified and verified.

No. 24. Item. Dated 19 January 1621. Giles Le Patourel son of Jean sells to the said Reserson a rent .. which has to be discharged by Denis Le Petevin son of Colas.

No. 25. Item. Another latter under the same seal, dated 29 September 1593. Nicolas Guillemotte son of Nicolas sells to THomas de Lisle fo St Pierre de Bois a rent ...

No. 26. Item. Ditto dated 20 June 1557. Collas Le Ruez of St Ouen in the ilsand of Jersey, makes over to Julian du Douit all hereditary rights he may possess in this island, for a consideration fo 20 silver gros of annual rent.

No. 27. Item. DAted 8 October 1580. Colas Le Petevin [Collas Le Poitevin] son of Philippin sells to Richard Pitard son of John, a certaine house with a garden behind in Fountain Street ...

No. 28. Item. Dated 11 June 1596. William Le Marchant son of Jean sells to Etienne Guillemotte son of Colas, a rent on Colas Hughues son of Colas ...

No. 29. Item. 30 April 1444. Nicolas Effart and his brother Guillaume Effart sons of John of the one part, and Lorens Careye son of 'lequel dit Careye', confirm that they have sold to the said Effart, the sum of 7 silver Sterlings on John Le Retiley of St Martin ...

No. 30. Item. Dated 26 March 1594. Colas Guillemotte son of Nicolas sells to Edouard Gagnepain son of Henry a rent. At the bottom of this document is appended a judgement of the Plaids d'Heritages by which Etienne Guillemotte, the brother os the aforememtioned Colas, has become owner of the said transaction ...

No. 32. Item. 18 August 1662. Le Sieur William Le Marchant, natural Guardian of ihs son, in the right of his mother Anne, daughter of Mr Jean Fautrart, sells to Thomas Rouget son of James and to Anne Mahy his wife, two small houses with a garden adjoining in the Contree du Bosq and ... rents due to Sieur Jean Roland in right of his wife Suzanne Reserson ...

Item. Arbitration on paper dated 6 January 1670, signed by Mr Elisee de Sausmarez concerning the dispute between Sieur Matthieu Vaudin in right of his wife son of the aforesaid Jean Roland, in right of Suzanne Reserson his late mother and the said Sieur Le Marchant in the aforesaid name, for 20 silver gros ... rent from Thomas Rouget son of James and his wife Anne Mahy.

No. 33. Item. 7 February 1666. Jean Rouget guardian of the children of Thomas Rouget sells to Sieur Pierre Goselin son of Nicolas a house, kitcjhen garden and garden at Glategny ... rent due to Sieur Jean ROland ...

No. 34. Item. 22 Octiber 170. Sieur Josue Gosselin sells to Jean Slamon the said house and assigns the said noble sterling to be paid by Sieur Aaron Guillaume in right of his wife in right of her mother.
